Srinagar, Sep 10 (KNO): National Conference President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday blamed the Lieutenant Governor for the prevailing situation in Doda following the detention of local MLA, Mehraj Malik, under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
Speaking to reporters in Pattan, Dr Abdullah, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that the entire security apparatus in Jammu and Kashmir is under the control of the Lieutenant Governor and therefore, the LG would be wholly and solely responsible for any untoward developments in Doda.
“This is the Lieutenant Governor’s game. Since the security system is in his hands, he must be answerable for the deteriorating conditions in the region”, he said.
Responding to queries on the possibility of convening a special session of the Assembly to discuss the matter, the NC Chief said the responsibility lies with the Speaker of the House—(KNO)
